Here’s a recipe on the far opposite end of the spectrum.  If you’re looking for a sugar rush, this is some awesome dessert!  This recipe was given to me by my mom, who got it from my grandmother.

Cherry Dessert

Mix 20 crushed graham crackers, 1 stick margarine, and 3 tablespoons sugar.  Form into a 9″x13″ baking pan as a bottom layer.  Bake 8 minutes at 350F degrees.  Take out of the oven and cool.

Mix 8 ounces cream cheese and 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar.  Apply that as a second layer in the pan.

Next add a layer of Cool Whip.

Lastly, layer on Cherry Pie Filling.  Cool the whole thing until time to eat.

Notice that the measurements are vague – adjust as you desire, it’s not important to be exact on all this.  If you like more cherries, add more filling.

Make sure you eat this nice and cold.  I could eat a whole pan of this, so I try to avoid being in the same room with it. :)
