Here’s a recipe on the far opposite end of the spectrum. If you’re looking for a sugar rush, this is some awesome dessert! This recipe was given to me by my mom, who got it from my grandmother.
Cherry Dessert
Mix 20 crushed graham crackers, 1 stick margarine, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Form into a 9″x13″ baking pan as a bottom layer. Bake 8 minutes at 350F degrees. Take out of the oven and cool.
Mix 8 ounces cream cheese and 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Apply that as a second layer in the pan.
Next add a layer of Cool Whip.
Lastly, layer on Cherry Pie Filling. Cool the whole thing until time to eat.
Notice that the measurements are vague – adjust as you desire, it’s not important to be exact on all this. If you like more cherries, add more filling.
Make sure you eat this nice and cold. I could eat a whole pan of this, so I try to avoid being in the same room with it.
