Not a whole lot of time this morning before I have to go to work, but I want to leave a plug here for a local company, Spirit Knob Winery, out of Ursa, IL.  Ursa’s a very small rural town on highway 96 between Quincy, IL and Hamilton, IL.  Spirit Knob sits outside of town on the bluff towards the Mississippi River.

My wife recently dropped in on the folks at Spirit Knob and came back impressed with their friendliness.  She also noted how busy they were on a Sunday afternoon.  According to her, the “place was packed” with people sampling wines and buying wine to take home.

So, if you’re ever in the area, check out Spirit Knob.  Pick up some local kindness and local wine to take home.
