Unfortunately, we can't blame the Dems for gerrymandering this particular district. This was done, in part, by Denny Hastert years ago. Hastert's logic was to give the Dems this seat with the hopes by picking up more seats elsewhere.

I know this b/c I've been one of the many who have tried to get a GOP person in this seat. You'll have just as much fun as running into a garage door!

Those make me think of other countries where you'd frequently see big signs reminding you how government was taking care of you: the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.... I guess at least ours don't have the president's face on them.

Yeah, I'm talking about QPS most of the time, but I usually try not to single them out too much, as I have to live in this town (until we find a place out in the country).

Jason,

I see by your facebook page you are from Payson. My Dad grew up in Adams and I own the home place in the big town.

Had a few relatives go to Payson. My Dad was a big track star there back in the early 50s.

In our schools dry erase marker are used on small white boards the students use at their desks. We use them for diagraming sentences, working math problems at our desk, or marking works with phonics.

Tissue surely will not break a parent granted this is something that should be provided by the schools. It is in our school.

I would just love to have parents to make sure their students have a pencil and paper.

And books students in our school have their own textbook that can and is taken from the classroom. I am not sure if you are talking about the Quincy schools but the county school I work in students do not share textbooks.

Have you seen what textbooks costs? Check it out. Also the county school I work for has not asked for any increase.

Like I said before the schools did a great job for my two children and prepapred them for college.

It must be something cultural. That thing you say about soccer being snotty. Well, I´m from Argentina and here, playing soccer is not snotty at all. I mean, it´s pretty common here. The same happens to us with baseball or American football. It´s just a cultural thing, I suppose. If you grow up around people playing lots of certain sport, you kinda understand it more or at least you like it a little. And soccer is not always slow. You can have very fast matches, It´s as with everything, there are good and bad matches. Boring and entertaining. Anyway, I think watching soccer is dead boring most of the time. I only enjoy the World Cup matches.
