Awesome Tea Party Results
Michelle Malkin has some good pictures on her site from various Tea Parties. I only wish our local Party had been today instead of early on April 4. I think the significance of being on “Tax Day” and also being a nationwide simultaneous protest would have brought out even more people than the amazing crowd that we DID have.
I’ve heard a few discrepancies in reporting… One NY Times article estimated 500 people at the Boston Commons. Supposedly a local police officer estimated nearly 3000 at the same event. Hopefully someone will post some pictures from the Boston site so we can figure out who is closer to the truth.
I’m waiting to see what’s next, honestly. It’s not going to accomplish anything to stop after this one protest. We also can’t afford to wait until a year from now to bring it up again. We need to keep the movement going while it’s in everyone’s minds, while it can grow and spread.
Maybe the next protest should be scheduled for July 4, when we celebrate our independence from the crown?
