There’s nothing like waking up in the early morning hours to realize that you slept wrong, pinched a nerve in your neck, and have given yourself a migraine headache. If it’s early enough in the AM, I can take a few Excedrin and have the migraine mostly go away by the time I really need to get up at 6am. But if it’s like this morning, and it hits and wakes me up around 5:45, I’m screwed – gotta just get up and deal with it.
Dealing with it means a hot shower to loosen up the neck muscles, a decent high-protein breakfast, and a mix of Excedrin and vitamins. Toss in a Coke Zero on the drive to work, and by the time I get there, I’m usually ready to go.
