H/T: Liberty Central

Why would a U.S. House-Senate conference committee work for 20 hours, finishing at 5AM, to finish work on yet another power grab by the Progressives?  What’s the rush, guys?  Why not go home, get some sleep, and finish up in the morning?  Could it be because you don’t want the process exposed to the light of day?

And what’s up with these Democrats having Barney vote for them by proxy?  A 2000-page bill of massive regulations that will have a major impact on our country, and apparently 5 members can’t be bothered to actually attend the committee?  Are they telling their constituents that they don’t care what ends up in the bill, they’ll vote with Barney every time?  They don’t care at all?

Remember this nonsense when you vote in November.  In the meantime, you can go to Liberty Central to take action and send emails to your Senators and Representatives urging them to vote against the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform bill.

H/T Chicago Tribune:

As more and more people in Illinois hear about Cedra Crenshaw, those people are supporting her in her fight to be on the ballot for Illinois State Senate in the 43rd district.

Here’s an editorial from the Chicago Tribune that’s on her side.

Here’s the piece that I wrote supporting her before she was kicked off the ballot.  My support may be small, and unfortunately she’s not in my district, but she needs every help she can get.

It’s very likely that she’s going to win her appeal to get back on the ballot.  It’s also very likely that with all the press surrounding the obvious Chicago Democrat Machine attacks against her campaign, she’ll end up winning the election.

The Democrats are showing their true colors as they get more and more nervous about November.

H/T Weekly Standard:

Wisconsin U.S. Representative Paul Ryan is another outstanding conservative that I wish I could vote for.  Too bad he’s not in Illinois, where we’re stuck with sad RINO’s.

Ryan isn’t just talking, he’s leading.  He’s leading by coming up with real solutions to the economic problems in this country.  Read more about Ryan’s Roadmap for America’s Future, or view the entire Roadmap in PDF.

Why can’t we have more people like him?

H/T Fox News for this article about the St. Louis Tea Party fighting back against the NAACP.

And Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County, Arizona is a real American. Rather than be intimidated, he’s standing up for what’s right by supporting Arizona’s SB1070. He’s doing what he knows is right to protect the people of his county, even when receiving death threats. He’s declined to have a personal security detail because that would take more officers away from the overall problem of illegals and drugs streaming across the border.

Yet Obama refuses to have the federal government protect the borders. If Babeu gets gunned down by drug smugglers, do you suppose Obama will take time out of his golf schedule to attend the funeral?

Babeu is a true patriot. Let’s pray that he stays safe – we need people like him.

H/T Americans for Tax Reform

As if the economy isn’t depressed enough, and unemployment isn’t high enough, the Obama brain-trust is barreling forward with plenty of new taxes ready to hit your wallets on January 2011.  Some aren’t so much new as old taxes that had been suspended and are being allowed to come back, but that doesn’t change the fact that people are going to be giving MORE money to the government and spending less. Don’t expect big job creation gains or lower unemployment levels any time soon while Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of their Liberal cabal push their Progressive agenda down the throats of the American people.

H/T Illinois Review:

I’m not in the 9th District, so I don’t have a vote in the race for the U.S. House seat there, but as a resident of the Socialist State of Illinois, I DO have an interest in any races where we (conservatives) can gain ground in our fight to save our state and country.

I hadn’t heard of Jan Schakowsky until just recently.  She’s the current Democrat Representative from the 9th District, being challenged by Joel Pollak. Needless to say, Schakowsky is a far left Progressive. Her website even states that she’s “A Champion for our Progressive Values”. Apparently that’s someone else’s values, because they sure aren’t mine.

Anyway, not only is Schakowsky a big-time liberal, she’s also either a big-time liar or a big-time dufus.  As seen in this clip, she makes the claim that the Obama administration has created more jobs than were created in the entire 8 years Bush was in office. Not only is that wrong, it’s just loony. It’s crazier than Pelosi claiming the unemployment is a job creator.

Needless to say, I’m supporting Pollak in November.  If he weren’t running, I think I’d support a block of cheese before I’d let Schakowsky breeze into another term in office.  The cheese would be smarter, wouldn’t say anything loony, and would be much less damaging to Illinois and the USA.

And yet….  supposedly white people are the racists.

Kevin Jackson makes a good analysis of RNC head Michael Steele and his RINO tendencies.  Steele definitely needs to be replaced as the head of the RNC if the Republican party is going to truly return to conservatism.

The question is, who should replace him?  We need a staunch conservative who won’t budge on our core issues.  The right person could energize people across the country as we approach November.  Michael Steele isn’t that person.

Cedra Crenshaw

I’m not in Cedra’s district, but I support her in her run for the 43rd District Senate seat.  She appears to be a solid conservative that will help turn Illinois around.

Currently the Democrat elite are trying to keep Cedra off of the ballot.

She needs our help, everyone, so get the word out!
