I’m not sure how real this is, but it sure looks real.  Back in my day people like this were “nerds” or “dorks” and they’d get their asses kicked on a regular basis.  Who’d have guessed that today’s world would end up filled with nerds?  Twitter, Facebook – these would have guaranteed nerd status back then.  Now they’re considered cool.

I wish we could get candidates like this all over the country.

  • Carly Fiorina – California race for U.S. Senate
  • Sharron Angle – Nevada race for U.S. Senate against Harry Reid
  • Nikki Haley – South Carolina race for Governor

These women are true conservatives in every sense of the word.  I wish I lived in their states so I could vote for them.  If YOU live in these states – vote for these women.  Get off your butt, spread the word, and vote them in and the liberals OUT!

I agree with Pence when he asks Obama, “Whose side are you on?”  Why are we cuddling up to terrorists and deserting Israel, our best ally in the Middle East?

Well, they did it.  They managed to keep the resolution from passing.  Now the EPA can run rampant and beat us down even further.  Of course, both Illinois senators Durbin and Burris voted against the resolution.  That was no surprise, as both are far left loons.

I sent a letter supporting the resolution several days ago to both Durbin and Burris.  Durbin didn’t even acknowledge my letter with a form response.  Burris generated a generic response at first, with a detailed followup later.  Obviously it wasn’t a personally written letter, but instead was a canned response to this particular issue.  I’m sure his office received many emails on this issue, and they shot the same response to each.  But, at least he responded, which makes him one step higher on my list than Durbin.  Both are still very close to the bottom though.

We’ve got to get rid of these people and save this country!

Consider the points made by Tom Rowan in this article at American Thinker.  I have to wonder, when you combine the constant demonizing of BP and the oil industry, combined with the lack of a real response by the Obama administration, what is the real agenda here?  It’s looking more and more like the goal is to use this emergency – remember, “never let a serious crisis go to waste” - to influence public opinion on Cap and Trade and influence the coming elections in November.

H/T to Illinois Review.

More corruption, more laziness, more stupidity, and all at the expense of your tax dollars. The Illinois All Kids program is hemorrhaging money, and at the same time Gov. Quinn wants to raise taxes.  When are we going to find and elect some people who will clean up this mess?

Check out http://www.freedomworks.org/blog/nswift/the-murkowski-vote-cometh about the latest attempt by the federal government to grab more power.  The vote is on Jun 10, so make sure you read this and contact your elected officials in time to make your opinion known!

Well, it’s happened.  My latest favorite for my 5-6pm drive home has been taken away from me again.  The last time this happened, it was O’Reilly, who stopped doing his radio show.  This time it’s Glenn Beck, who was moved earlier in the day to the 2-5pm slot on a local AM talk-radio station, WTAD.

Beck’s timeslot on WTAD is being filled by Mark Levin.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with Levin.  I’ll most likely listen to his show now instead.  But I’ve got to wonder why the Glenn Beck move?  Why push him earlier into the afternoon?  Won’t that cut down on the number of potential listeners, or is that possibly the goal?  Did Beck get a little TOO popular for some people’s comfort?

Luckily, I was able to find a talk radio station that I can stream online to get my Beck fix.  Yay!

If you like charts, graphs, and tons of information, there’s a study at the Heritage Foundation that’s sure to please.  Or not please, depending on how you look at it.  It’s the 2010 edition of Federal Spending by the Numbers, and it’s not very positive.  If we don’t start cutting back on spending at all levels of government, we’re going to be in big trouble.

If you want to skip all the statistics, you might want to jump towards the end, where there is a very illuminating list identifying waste in our government.  When politicians claim they can’t find ways to trim the budget, THEY ARE LYING.  Vote them out of office.
